BAM!
BAM!

Babe Ruth. 2009. This was a commissioned piece. It is a replica jersey and cap on cut-out plywood - a true nightmare to complete.

Oil on Board. 2008. 10" x 15" At one time I had the idea to represent all different kinds of animals in this style. I got as far as the Devil and a Crow. I could have done it if I had all the time in the world.

Don't Call Me Fatty
Don't Call Me Fatty

Fatty Arbuckle. 2008. Size 50 sports coat on cut out plywood. Read about Fatty Arbuckle some time on Wikipedia. Was the original "large" comic whose influence carries over to the present. There is little to compare what it was like when these guys started in movies. One day there is no such thing as moving pictures, the next day there is.  "OK, now go over there and start doing something funny."  Displayed at Glen Ellyn Public Library.

Mopheen Addict – William Burroughs
Mopheen Addict – William Burroughs

William Burroughs. 2009. 36" x 40"  Enamel on Board with raised lettering. This  counts as a cutout I think.  It shows Burroughs in the throes of his addiction.  Displayed at Blue Line Studios.

What Are You Rebelling Against?

George Washington. 2002. Oil on Board.  This is kind of a silly one which I never finished. I did learn from it that if you are going to be adding accoutrements, finish the painting first!

Queen of the Nile
Queen of the Nile

Nefertiti. 2004. Oil on board. I was going to gold leaf this, and put jewels on it. By the time I had set up the wood and got it painted, I was done.
